Today I finished the first phase of training with Jesco.  I also made my first sale!

They’re sending me to Tucson next week for my first gig on my own.  Road Trip!  I’ll get a hotel room for this one.

Now here’s a prime example of how Jeepers costs me money:  I work Monday night at the poker club.  Initially I thought I’d get up early Tuesday morning and drive to Tucson for my first shift, then drive back Friday afternoon to get back in time for my shift at the club.  Easy, right!

Nope.  The problem?  Because I work the day shift in Tucson Friday morning, I would have nowhere to put him!  (After checking out of the hotel).  I realized this after I gave away a shift at the poker club — $200.  Catsitter — $80. The $50,000 cat strikes again!

I’m on lots of medication these days, and probably another one after my labs come back.  I’m not quite out of the woods yet with a new infection that looks very similar to what turned into a huge abscess in my groin only a couple months ago.  It makes me very uneasy.  But I’m crossing my fingers that the medication will do the trip.

By April 22, I will have worked 20 straight days.  I miss my projects.  I will take a week off from Jesco soon just to get 3 days off and do some catching up.  Then, moving forward, I’ll most like just work 2 double-shifts per week until I head to Vegas.

In other news, I was hired to work at Amazon this winter.  I should be able to finish the processing for my Vegas job in the next few days and…

The Ultimate Journey should  resume in a few weeks!
