This “monsoon season” still has me scratching my head.  Some light rains, what I might consider a few sprinkles, has produced a seemingly extraordinary amount of flash flooding in the area.  I don’t get it.  All I know is the overcast weather puts me in a good mood.  It was time for a little excursion.  I headed to Encanto Park…

Within the park is a  theme park called Enchanted Island.  This place is birthday party central.! It’s a brilliant setup, really.  In the center of this small island are large picnic areas sectioned off by white picket fences for different parties (all full).  On the perimeter are about 10 different rides.  It appears the party-goers all get wristbands for the rides and sort of do a back-and-forth between their celebrations and these rides.  And, because the parties are in the center of the island, they probably never stray more than 50 yards from them — very efficient!  (I’ll bet it’s quite the cash cow, as well).
